Best Time To Visit Statue Of Akhtamar (Sevan) In 2026 - 2027

Visiting the Statue of Akhtamar in Sevan, Armenia

The Statue of Akhtamar, which is part of the historical heritage of Armenia located on the shores of Lake Sevan, can be visited year-round. However, the best time to visit is during the late spring to early summer months - from May to June, and early autumn in September. In this period, the weather is generally pleasant with moderate temperatures, making it comfortable for tourists to explore the area and enjoy the scenery without the heat of summer or the chill of winter.

July and August might also be an attractive period for those who prefer warmer temperatures and enjoy water activities on Lake Sevan, which is known as the "Jewel of Armenia". However, these months can be somewhat crowded as they coincide with the peak tourist season. For those interested in experiencing the area with fewer crowds and a tranquil atmosphere, late September and October are recommended, when the autumn foliage creates a picturesque setting around the lake. Keep in mind that Armenia can experience harsh winters, so from late October to April, the region can be quite cold, and accessibility may also be limited due to snow.
