Best Time to Visit Teknaf Wildlife Sanctuary

Teknaf Wildlife Sanctuary is a unique preserve located at the southern tip of Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh, near the border with Myanmar. This sanctuary, which spans over 11,615 hectares, is home to a variety of flora and fauna and offers a serene getaway amidst nature. The best time to visit the Teknaf Wildlife Sanctuary is between November and March. During these months, the weather is relatively cool and dry, making it perfect for wildlife spotting and hiking through the sanctuary's diverse landscapes. The monsoon season, which typically runs from April to October, is less ideal due to heavy rains that can make the trails slippery and obscure visibility.

Visitors should note that the winter months also coincide with the peak tourist season in Cox's Bazar, so while the conditions for visiting the sanctuary are optimal, it is advisable to book accommodations in advance. During this time, you can enjoy clear skies and excellent opportunities for bird watching, as migratory birds from the Himalayas and beyond arrive in the sanctuary. Additionally, the cool weather facilitates comfortable trekking experiences through the reserve's hills and forests without the oppressive heat and humidity present during the summer months.
