If you're driving from Tbilisi:

• Take the Tbilisi highway, heading east towards Sagarejo.
• Continue on the Kakheti Highway.
• After approximately an hour's drive, you will pass through Gurjaani.

Currently, there is no direct train service to Telavi. The regional railways focus more on the western part of Georgia, so if you're coming by train, you'll still need to transfer to a bus or marshrutka at some point from nearby stations.
