Best Time to Visit Tripura Sundari Temple

The Tripura Sundari Temple, revered as Matabari Temple, is located in the ancient city of Udaipur in Tripura, India. The temple is a holy destination for thousands of pilgrims throughout the year. The best time to visit Matabari Temple is during the winter months, from October to March. During this period, the weather in Tripura is pleasant, with minimal rainfall and a moderate climate, which makes it conducive for temple visits and sightseeing. Temperatures during this time usually range from a comfortable 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F). It is an ideal time for travelers looking to explore the temple and the surrounding areas in comfort, without dealing with the extreme weather conditions prevalent in other months.

Moreover, visiting the Tripura Sundari Temple during the festival of Diwali is considered highly auspicious. This festival typically falls between mid-October and mid-November. The temple hosts a famous fair known as 'Deepavali Mela' which spans for several days and attracts visitors from across the country. Devotees come in large numbers for the special 'Diwali Puja' and to witness the grand celebration of lights. Another significant time for visiting the temple is during the annual 'Karchi Puja', which usually takes place in July. Although the monsoon season is not typically the preferred time for tourists due to the heavy rains, the Karchi Puja is a colorful tribal festival that brings the local culture to life with traditional music, dance, and worship.
