Best Time To Visit Upper Ghaghri Falls (Betla) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Upper Ghaghri Falls in Betla, Jharkhand

The Upper Ghaghri Falls, nestled in the picturesque landscape of Betla, Jharkhand, offer a serene getaway to nature enthusiasts. The ideal time to visit the falls is during the post-monsoon months, from October to March. During this period, the monsoon rains have replenished the waterfalls, making them a spectacular sight with gushing waters cascading down the rocky terrains. The weather is pleasant during these months, with a cooler climate that ranges from a comfortable 10°C to 25°C, which is perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings without the discomfort of extreme temperatures.

The monsoon season, from July to September, while offering a lush green environment, may not be the best time for a visit due to the heavy rainfall that can lead to slippery pathways and a potential increase in water levels, making it potentially unsafe. On the other hand, the summer months, from April to June, see a significant rise in temperature, which can be quite harsh for outdoor activities, with the mercury soaring above 30°C. Thus, planning your trip during the cooler months will not only provide a more comfortable experience but also ensure the best views of Upper Ghaghri Falls in its full splendor, surrounded by the vibrant flora that thrive in the region post-monsoon.
