Yasukuni Shrine, located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is a Shinto shrine that commemorates Japan's war dead. It is accessible via multiple forms of transportation.
By Train
The shrine is a short walk from several train stations:
- Kudanshita Station: Served by the Tozai, Hanzomon, and Toei Shinjuku Lines. Exit from either Exit 1 or Exit 2 and walk approximately 5 minutes.
- Iidabashi Station: Served by the JR Chuo-Sobu Line (Local), as well as the Tokyo Metro Tozai, Yurakucho, Namboku, and Toei Oedo Lines. It's about a 10-minute walk from any of those lines' exits.
By Bus
To reach Yasukuni Shrine by bus, you can take the following routes:
- Tokyo City bus: Toei Bus operates multiple routes that stop at or near the Shrine.
- Chiyoda Ward Community Bus “Chiyoda City circulation Bus” also has a stop at Yasukuni Shrine.
By Car or Taxi

Please note there is limited parking available at the Shrine and nearby.
