Best Time To Visit Yazd (Iran) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Yazira, Iran

The optimal time to visit Yazd, a UNESCO World Heritage city in the heart of Iran, is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. In these months, the weather is most pleasant, offering a reprieve from the extreme temperatures experienced in summer and winter. Springtime in Yazd is particularly beautiful with a mild climate and the desert flora beginning to bloom. The Iranian New Year, known as Nowruz, occurs in March and can add a festive atmosphere to your visit, with local celebrations and customs on full display.

Conversely, autumn in Yazd presents a lovely period as the heat of the summer dissipates, resulting in cooler and more comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the city's winding lanes and historic sites. During these months, the city is less crowded, which means you can enjoy its attractions, such as the Jameh Mosque of Yazd, the Amir Chakhmaq complex, and the ancient Zoroastrian Towers of Silence, without the summer throngs. However, do keep in mind that nighttime can get quite chilly, so it's advisable to pack accordingly with layers of clothing.
