Upon reaching the Visitor Center in Petra, you can commence your journey to Al-Khazneh on foot or by horse-drawn carriage, which is suitable for those who prefer not to walk.
You will enter through the Siq, a narrow gorge that leads directly to Al-Khazneh. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) and provides breathtaking views and photo opportunities. The pathway is mostly flat but does include some uneven terrain.
Note: Remember to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the walk can take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes depending on your pace.
