Best Time to Visit Arasavalli Sun Temple

The Arasavalli Sun Temple, located in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, is a significant center of worship dedicated to the Sun God, Surya. The most ideal time to visit the temple is during the months of October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, making your temple visit and exploration of the area a comfortable experience. The tropical climate of Andhra Pradesh tends to be hot and humid for the rest of the year, but these months offer a respite with cooler temperatures and a favorable climate for outdoor activities.

Tourists and devotees often time their visit to coincide with the temple's famous festivals such as Ratha Saptami or Magha Saptami, which usually falls in February. This is when the temple hosts grand celebrations in honor of the Sun God and witnesses a large influx of pilgrims. The temple's unique architectural feature that allows the sun’s rays to fall on the deity's feet twice a year is another spectacular event to witness, occurring typically around the months of March and September. Planning your visit around these occasions can provide a deeply cultural and spiritual experience.
