Bekal Beach is a serene expanse along the Malabar Coast in the town of Bekal, Kerala, India, known for its pristine shores, clear waters, and scenic beauty. The beach lies in the vicinity of the historic Bekal Fort, which serves as a magnificent backdrop. Covering over 35 acres, Bekal Fort is the largest fort in Kerala and stands on a promontory that juts into the Arabian Sea. This keyhole-shaped fortress offers panoramic views and has been witness to many historical events. Bekal Beach provides visitors with an opportunity to experience Kerala's coastal charm, enjoy leisurely walks, indulge in photography, or simply unwind by the sea. It’s also famous for its spectacular sunsets. There are well-maintained walkways, a park, and benches for visitors. The beach is rendered safe for swimming due to the absence of strong currents and the efforts of the local tourism department to preserve its natural beauty while providing necessary amenities.
