The Big Buddha in Phuket is a majestic statue and a revered landmark located atop Nakkerd Hill near Chalong. The Big Buddha is accessible by road; visitors can drive, hire a taxi, or opt for a guided tour. The site is located about a 30-minute drive from Phuket Town and 45 minutes from Patong Beach. There is no public transportation directly to the site, so personal or hired transport is necessary.
There is no entrance fee to visit the Big Buddha; however, donations are welcome for maintenance and further development of the site.
The Big Buddha site is open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon when the weather is cooler and the lighting is ideal for photography.
Visitors are required to dress respectfully when visiting the Big Buddha. This means covering shoulders and knees; scarves or sarongs may be used for this purpose. It is recommended to wear comfortable and modest clothing to show respect for the spiritual site.
The site offers some facilities for people with disabilities, including a parking area closer to the statue. However, some areas might not be completely accessible due to the hilly terrain. It is best to inquire ahead of your visit for specific accommodations.

The best time to visit the Big Buddha is during the cool season from November to February when the weather is pleasant and conducive to outdoor activities. However, it can be visited year-round as it's one of the island's iconic landmarks.
There is a small cafe at the site where snacks and refreshments can be purchased. For a more substantial meal, visitors will find restaurants and eateries at the base of Nakkerd Hill or in nearby towns like Chalong and Phuket Town.
