How To Reach Biosfera

Located in the enchanting Old Port (Porto Antico) of Genoa, the striking glass Biosfera is an unmissable attraction for nature lovers. Here’s how you can reach it:

By Air

The nearest airport to Genoa is the Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA), approximately 7 km west of the city center. From the airport, you can:

  • Take a Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the terminal.
  • Use the Shuttle: The Volabus shuttle connects the airport to Genoa's main train station, Piazza Principe.

By Train

Arriving at Genoa Piazza Principe or Genoa Brignole stations, you can reach the Biosfera by:

  • Public Bus: Multiple bus lines serve the area around Porto Antico.
  • Use the Metro: The nearest metro stop is San Giorgio. From there, you can walk to the Biosfera in a few minutes.
  • Walk: It's a scenic walk from either station down to the Old Port area, taking about 20-25 minutes.

By Car

Parking is available at the Porto Antico area, you can navigate to the designated parking areas through local signage.

By Cruise Ship

If you are arriving by cruise ship, the Port of Genoa cruise terminal is conveniently located near the Biosfera. You can often walk or take a short shuttle ride directly from your ship.

By Foot

Genoa's historic center is highly walkable. From the city center, head towards the water and follow signs to the Porto Antico, where the Biosfera is situated near the Aquarium of Genoa.
