Bokaro Steel Plant Tourism

Bokaro Steel Plant is a renowned steel manufacturing facility located in Bokaro Steel City, in the state of Jharkhand, India. It was established in the 1960s with Soviet assistance and forms the backbone of Bokaro Steel City's economy. Spread across a vast expanse of over 33 km², the integrated steel plant contributes significantly to India's steel production. The plant is operated by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of the leading steel-making companies in the country. It was conceptualized to provide India with the capability to produce a wide range of steel products, including flat products like hot and cold rolled sheets and coils, as well as long products like rebars.
