Chengdu can most conveniently be reached by air via the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU). This airport is one of the major aviation hubs in China, offering numerous domestic flights within China as well as international flights to destinations in Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Upon arriving at the airport, travelers can take the Airport Express bus, taxis, or the Metro Line 10 to reach the city center.
As a significant railway junction in southwestern China, Chengdu is well-connected by train to various cities across the country. The main railway stations are Chengdu Railway Station (also known as North Railway Station) and Chengdu East Railway Station. Visitors can take high-speed trains such as the G-series and D-series trains or the more traditional K-series (fast trains) to reach Chengdu.
Long-distance buses are available if you're traveling from nearby provinces or cities. Chengdu has several major bus stations, including Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station and Chenshi Beimen Bus Station. They provide comfortable coach services to destinations within Sichuan Province and beyond. For a more personalized experience, renting a car is also an option.
