Type of destination: Bridge
Ideal visit duration: 1-2 hours
The Dragon Bridge is a remarkable symbol of Da Nang, Vietnam, and has become an iconic landmark since its completion in 2013. Spanning the Han River, it measures 666 meters in length with a six-lane passage. One of its unique attributes is the design—this bridge is shaped like a golden dragon, reflecting the significance of dragons in Vietnamese mythology, symbolizing power, nobility, and good fortune. Known as Cau Rong in Vietnamese, the bridge impresses with its innovative engineering and artistic architecture. It's particularly famous for the weekend nighttime display with LED lights and the dragon's head breathes fire and water, creating a spectacular scene that draws locals and tourists alike. The bridge connects the city's main area to the beaches and the Da Nang International Airport, playing a significant role in the city's transport and tourism. Its dynamic lighting system accentuates the bridge's curves, highlighting its majestic design against the night sky and offering various colors on special occasions like public holidays.

PRETTY SURE THIS IS ONE OF A KIND
Amazing bridge design and very cool area to walk along the riverfront from either side. I'm sure bridge builders in other countries are saying "how cool, why didn't we think of that!"

Nice big bright dragon!
Stopped here on way to airport. Took some pics, walked up and took more. It is a pretty good dragon and kids would love it. We missed it at night so can't comment on that.

Iconic in Da Nang
It's a must-go in Da Nang, iconic! I can see this symbolic bridge from my hotel at a distance. During my visit at daytime on a Saturday, there're extraordinarily many police constables.
