Galway's Land National Park is a small but significant natural reserve located within Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Spanning an area of just 0.59 square kilometers, it is one of the smallest National Parks in Sri Lanka but boasts a large variety of flora and fauna. Established in 1938, the park was initially a wildlife sanctuary and was designated a national park in 2006 to ensure the conservation of its unique biodiversity. The park's ecosystem is a montane forest, which is home to an impressive array of endemic bird species, making it a popular spot for bird watching. Mammals such as wild boars, barking deer, and the endangered Montane Purple-faced Langur can also be spotted. Dense with thick foliage, ferns, and tall trees, the park offers a cool and moist environment, reflecting the climate of the region. Walking paths meander through the forest allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the park. The high elevation and misty conditions contribute to its ethereal ambiance, making it a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
It was an amazing experience to walk through the natural grown forest adjoining with a human growned forest on a misty and windy day. It is a place must visited by forest lovers.

Scam for Foreigners. Overcharging and not worth the journey.
A complete joke. They wanted 4300 to go in. Sorry I'm not paying it. Locals was about 100 rupees. Don't waste your time. Shame as Sri Lanka has some great places to visit but this is not one of them. ..
Seriously overpriced at $10 USD plus 18% tax for foreign visitors. The park is a circa 1km walk through woods, no views and little chance of seeing any wildlife. Save your money.

A mystical and tranquil walk
A beautiful trail through the national park forest about 2kms. It was raining slightly when we went, so there weren't many birds visible.
Early morning is more suitable if you want to see birds. Howev..
