According to mythology, Lord Rama is believed to have stood atop this hill to search for his wife, Sita, when she was abducted by Ravana. The Gandhamadhana Parvatham is renowned for its panoramic views of the entire island of Rameswaram, and it serves as a vantage point for visitors to observe the coastal lines and the magnificent blue sea.
