The Ghibli Museum is located in the city of Mitaka, which is easily accessible by train. The most convenient way to reach there is to take the JR Chūō Line (Rapid) to Mitaka Station. The museum is a 15 to 20-minute walk from the South Exit of Mitaka Station.

By Bus

From Mitaka Station's South Exit, you can also catch a community bus bound for the museum, known as the Mitaka City Loop Bus, which departs from bus stop number 9. The ride takes about 10 minutes and drops you off at the museum's entrance.
