Best Time to Visit Hamat Tiberias National Park

Visiting Hamat Tiberias National Park, located in Tiberias, can be a rich and enlightening experience, especially if you go at the right time. The park, known for its ancient thermal baths, has a Mediterranean climate which is characterized by hot and dry summers, and mild, wetter winters. The peak season for tourists is typically during the summer months, from June to August. During this time, you can enjoy long, sunny days that are perfect for exploring the park's historic sites and enjoying the adjacent Sea of Galilee. However, this period can also be extremely hot, with temperatures often rising above 30°C (86°F), which might be uncomfortable for some visitors. Therefore, ample sun protection and hydration are essential if you choose to visit during the summer.

For a more pleasant experience, many recommend visiting during the spring (April to May) or autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is still warm enough to enjoy all outdoor activities, but the extreme heat of summer has subsided. You'll find that temperatures range from 15°C to 28°C (59°F to 82°F), creating ideal conditions for walking around the park and enjoying its rich archeological wonders without the overcrowding of peak tourist season. Additionally, the natural surroundings of the Tiberias area are beautifully in bloom in the spring, while the fall offers a display of autumnal colors, making these seasons particularly appealing for photographers and nature lovers.
