Best Time To Visit Hebbe Waterfalls (Kemmanagundi) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Hebbe Waterfalls

The best time to visit Hebbe Waterfalls in Kemmanagundi, Karnataka, India, is during the post-monsoon season from September to February. During this period, the waterfalls are at their most majestic, having been replenished by the monsoon rains. The verdant landscape surrounding the falls is especially lush, and the weather is generally pleasant, making it an ideal time for trekking and enjoying the beauty of the falls. Visitors during this time can appreciate the cascade of water that drops from a height of about 551 feet, split into two stages known as the Dodda Hebbe (Big Falls) and Chikka Hebbe (Small Falls).

It is advisable to avoid the monsoon season, which typically runs from June to August, as the heavy rains can make the trek to the waterfall dangerous due to slippery paths and increased water flow. Additionally, the summer months from March to May can also be less ideal due to the higher temperatures, which may not be conducive for hiking and outdoor activities. Regardless of the time of visit, it is important to check the local weather and any travel advisories, as well as park operation times, since the access to Hebbe Waterfalls might occasionally be restricted for maintenance or conservation efforts.
