Named after a small temple at the summit dedicated to a sage 'Mulappa swamy' who is believed to have meditated in the caves nearby, Mullayanagiri offers a serene environment enveloped by the Western Ghats' biodiversity. This peak is part of the Baba Budangiri Hill Range and can be reached via a winding path that scales the mountain, which is a hotspot for trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers. The trek pathway is well-marked, taking visitors through green meadows, steep inclines, and rugged terrains. The area is characterized by its rolling grasslands and coffee plantations.
