Best Time To Visit Jokai Botanical Garden Reserve Forest (Dibrugarh) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Joypur Rainforest

The most favorable time to visit the Joypur Rainforest in Dibrugarh, Assam, India is during the pre-monsoon and post-monsoon periods, which span from late February to May, and then again from October to November. During these months, the weather is relatively dry, making it easier to explore the lush flora and fauna of the forest. The climate is comfortably warm with a reduced chance of rainfall, allowing for uninterrupted treks and sightseeing. This is also an ideal time for bird watching, as many migratory birds can be seen before the onset of monsoon.

However, visitors should avoid the monsoon season, which typically runs from June to September, as the region experiences heavy rainfall that can lead to waterlogging and may restrict access to certain parts of the forest. The paths can get slippery, and the heightened water levels in rivers may pose a risk. Moreover, the humidity levels are very high during monsoons, which may not be comfortable for many visitors. Hence, to make the most out of your visit to the Joypur Rainforest, plan your trip outside the monsoon months.
