Jonha Falls, also known as Gautamdhara, is located around 40 kilometers from Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand, India. Surrounded by lush forest and a serene environment, Jonha Falls is named after the local village Jonha. The waterfall is part of the Ganga River tributary, Raru River. It cascades down from a height of around 43 meters (141 feet) creating a breathtaking view. To reach the base of the waterfall, visitors must descend approximately 500 steps carved into the rock. Jonha Falls is an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking respite from city life. It is also a popular picnic spot among locals. The area around the falls is well maintained, and there are facilities available for tourists such as food stalls, restrooms, and parking.
