Tagore Hill, also known as Morabadi Hill, is a scenic location in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Known for its breathtaking panoramic views of Ranchi, the hill stands at a height of approximately 300 feet. It is named after the Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, who is believed to have found solace and inspiration here. According to local lore, his brother Jyotirindranath Tagore had a house on the hill, where the poet is said to have spent a significant amount of time. Today, Tagore Hill is a favoured spot for both locals and tourists, seeking a peaceful getaway amidst nature. Atop the hill is the Tagore Hill Centre, dedicated to studying and promoting Tagore’s literature and philosophy. The hill is surrounded by lush green forests, and the serene environment makes it ideal for morning walks, yoga, and meditation. An imposing stairway leads to the summit, which presents an ideal opportunity for visitors to engage in a little exercise amidst the beauty of nature.
