Kaas Plateau, also known as the 'Valley of Flowers' of Maharashtra, is a unique ecological site located in the western ghats of Maharashtra, near the city of Satara. It is renowned for its rich biodiversity, particularly the endemic flowers that bloom annually following the monsoon season. The plateau spans over 1,000 hectares and is perched at an altitude of about 1200 meters above sea level. The region has over 850 different species of flowering plants. These flowers transform the plateau into a vibrant carpet of colors that captivate naturalists and tourists alike.
