If you are coming from outside of Java, the nearest airport is Husein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO) in Bandung. Upon arriving at the airport, you can continue your journey to Kawah Putih by land transportation.
If you are traveling from other cities in Java, consider taking a train or a bus to Bandung. The main railway station in Bandung is Bandung Railway Station, while the huge bus terminal is known as Leuwi Panjang
. From both these locations, various local transportation options are available to continue to Kawah Putih.Kawah Putih is accessible by road, and it is possible to rent a car or motorcycle in Bandung. The drive takes approximately 2 hours depending on traffic. The route is scenic but can be challenging, with winding and steep roads as you approach the crater area.
Option 1: From Leuwi Panjang or Terminal Kebon Kawung, you can take a bus heading to Ciwidey. Once you reach Ciwidey, take either an angkot (public minibus) or an ojek (motorcycle taxi) to Kawah Putih.
Option 2: Take a train to the Bandung Station and from there board a bus to the Ciwidey terminal. From Ciwidey, proceed as mentioned above.
