Best Time To Visit Ko Yao Yai (Phi Phi Islands) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Ko Yao Yai, Phi Phi Islands, Thailand

Ko Yao Yai, part of the Phi Phi archipelago in Thailand, offers visitors a serene tropical escape with its pristine beaches and clear waters. The ideal time to visit Ko Yao Yai is during the dry season, which spans from November to April. During these months, the weather is at its best, with minimal rainfall, low humidity, and clear skies. The calm seas during the dry season make it perfect for activities like snorkeling, diving, and exploring the islands. Temperatures during this period are warm, typically ranging between 23°C to 30°C, but with the sea breeze, the climate remains quite comfortable.

Visitors looking to avoid the crowds while still enjoying good weather should consider the shoulder months of November and April. These months mark the transition between the monsoon and dry seasons and can offer a balance of favorable weather and lower tourist numbers. However, it's important to note that while prices may be lower and attractions less crowded, there is a higher possibility of rainfall during these months. If your intention is to fully bask in Ko Yao Yai's natural beauty without the potential interruptions of rain, planning your trip for the peak dry season months between December and March would be best.
