Best Time to Visit Konark, Odisha

Konark, known for its world-famous Sun Temple, is a remarkable destination in the state of Odisha, India. The ideal time to visit Konark is between October and March. During these months, the weather is predominantly pleasant, with the retreating monsoons leaving behind a cool and agreeable climate. This period avoids the scorching heat of the summer months, making sightseeing a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Visitors may also want to plan their trip to coincide with the Konark Dance Festival, which usually takes place in the first week of December. Moreover, the cooler months also coincide with the migratory season for birds at the nearby Chilika Lake, offering an additional attraction for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers. Although the winter months can be slightly chilly, especially during the night, they provide the most clear and hospitable environment to appreciate the beauty and history of Konark.
