Kuenga Rabten Palace is a historical monument located in Trongsa District, Bhutan. It served as the winter residence for the second King of Bhutan, Jigme Wangchuck. Nestled amidst the lush and scenic valleys of central Bhutan, the palace is approximately 23 km south of Trongsa town. Built in the early 20th century, the structure showcases traditional Bhutanese architecture with its richly carved wooden windows and beautifully painted walls. The palace is a three-story building set against the backdrop of terraced fields and mountains, providing an insight into the royal lifestyle of the past. The interior of the palace reveals exquisite woodwork and mural paintings that depict various aspects of Buddhist lore and Bhutanese history.
