Welcome to Langkawi Cable Car (SkyCab)
The Langkawi Cable Car, also known as the SkyCab, is one of the major attractions on Langkawi Island, Malaysia. Here's how you can reach this thrilling destination:
By Air
Langkawi International Airport (LGK) is the gateway to the island. Once you've arrived at the airport, you have several options to reach the SkyCab:
- Taxis: Readily available at the airport, taxis offer a direct and comfortable ride to the SkyCab station.
- Rental Cars: You can rent a car from the airport and enjoy a scenic drive to the cable car, which is situated about 22 kilometers to the north on Jalan Telaga Tujuh Teluk Burau.
- Ride-shares: Services such as Grab are operational on the island, providing an alternative to traditional taxis.
By Sea
If you are arriving by ferry from the mainland (Kuala Perl armist dock), you can use the following modes of transport:
- Taxis: Taxis can take you directly to the SkyCab.
- Rental Cars/Scooters: Renting a vehicle at the port is a great way to explore the island at your own pace and reach the SkyCab.
By Road
As Langkawi is an island, there are no direct road connections from the mainland to the island. However, once on the island, SkyCab is accessible via the main road network. If you're already on Langkawi:
- Follow the signs marking the route to the Oriental Village, where the SkyCab is located.
- Public transport on Langkawi is limited, so taxis or rented vehicles are recommended for convenience.

Be sure to check the latest opening hours and any maintenance schedules as they can affect your visit:
