Best Time To Visit Lighthouse At The Southern Tip Of The Island (Kadmat Island) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Lighthouse at Kadmat Island, Lakshadweep

The picturesque Kadmat Island is one of the most sought-after destinations in Lakshadweep, India. To experience the best that the island has to offer, including the serene beauty of the lighthouse at the southern tip, the optimal visiting period is from October to May. During these months, the weather is predominantly dry and pleasantly warm, which is perfect for sightseeing and indulging in outdoor activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming. The monsoon season, which occurs from June to September, is usually avoided by tourists due to heavy rains, strong winds, and rough seas which can lead to cancellations of water-based activities and ferries.

Specifically, visiting the lighthouse during the peak months of December and January can be particularly rewarding. The climate is at its most comfortable, with clear skies and gentle sea breezes which provide ideal conditions for panoramic views from the lighthouse. The water visibility for divers and snorkelers is also at its highest, ensuring vibrant underwater experiences. However, it is worth noting that these peak months might also attract more tourists, so consider booking accommodations and ferry transfers in advance to secure your spot in this tropical paradise.
