How To Reach Mount Luho

Getting to Mount Luho, Boracay, Philippines

Welcome to the majestic island of Boracay! If you’re looking to visit the highest point on the island, Mount Luho, here's what you need to know to make your adventure smooth and enjoyable.

Arriving in Boracay

Firstly, to reach Boracay, you must fly to either Caticlan Airport (MPH) or Kalibo Airport (KLO). Caticlan is the closer of the two, and from there you can take a short boat trip to Boracay Island.

From Caticlan Airport to Boracay

• Outside the airport, you can find tricycles or vans that will take you to the Caticlan Jetty Port.
• At the Caticlan Jetty Port, secure a ticket for a boat to Boracay (Cagban Port or Tambisaan Port depending on the season).
• The boat ride is roughly 10 to 15 minutes.

From Kalibo Airport to Boracay

• Kalibo Airport is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away from the Caticlan Jetty Port.
• You can take a bus or van service directly to the jetty port where you will follow the same process as above to get to Boracay Island.

Once on Boracay Island

Upon arrival at Boracay, you can either hire a tricycle or rent a scooter/motorbike if you prefer to traverse the island independently.

Reaching Mount Luho

• The entrance to Mount Luho is located in the northeastern part of Boracay.
• You can hire a tricycle to take you directly to the Mount Luho viewpoint. The ride is scenic and should take about 15 to 20 minutes from D'Mall (central Boracay).
• If you rent a scooter or motorbike, take the main road north and follow the signs that direct you to Mount Luho.
• There is an entrance fee to go up the viewpoint, which provides access to a deck that gives a panoramic view of Boracay.
