Best Time To Visit Mullayanagiri Peak (Kemmanagundi) In 2026 - 2027

Mullayanagiri Peak in Kemmanagundi, Karnataka, is renowned as the highest peak in Karnataka, standing at an altitude of about 1,930 meters above sea level. This stunning destination is part of the Western Ghats and is famous for its trekking trails, beautiful scenery, and the serene environment it offers. The best time to visit Mullayanagiri is between the months of September and April when the weather is quite pleasant. During this period, the temperature ranges from about 12°C to 25°C, making outdoor activities like trekking and sightseeing more enjoyable without the discomfort of heavy rainfall or extreme heat.

Among the most favorable months, September to March is often recommended as the perfect window for trekkers, especially after the monsoon season when the landscape is lush and green. However, for those who are inclined towards witnessing the hill station covered with a misty blanket, the post-monsoon months – October and November – can be magical. The place exudes a different kind of serenity and the air is fresh and crisp. If you're looking for a quieter visit, avoid the peak tourist time during the holiday season in December and January, when the destination tends to get crowded. Regardless of the month you choose, ensure to pack some warm clothing as the temperatures can dip, especially in the evenings and early mornings.
