The Nartiang Monoliths are situated in the Jaintia Hills district in the state of Meghalaya, India. These intriguing stone structures are a part of the megalithic culture existing among the Khasi and Jaintia tribes. The monoliths are a group of tall, rust-colored stones, which are believed to have been erected to mark the reigns of the erstwhile Jaintia kings. Many of these structures are mere stones vertically placed with the tallest ones reaching up to 8 meters high, while others are table stones (locally known as 'Moo Shynrang' and 'Moo Kynthai') used for sacrifices. This collection of monoliths is one of the most interesting and prominent in the state, making it an essential piece of Meghalaya’s historical narrative. The site is a silent testament to the area's rich tribal legacy and is imbued with local legends and folklore. Despite being centuries old, the Nartiang Monoliths exude a timeless aura, making them a fascinating visit for those interested in history, anthropology, or simply looking to experience the unique cultural tapestry of North East India.

Simple place
It's a monolith park in Nartiang. It's a bit far and if you go to see only this then doesn't make sense. Combine or do it on the way. It's a very small place. Does have parking.
