Syntu Ksiar, which means 'flower of gold,' is a picturesque location in Jowai, the headquarters of the West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya, India. Lush green surroundings and blooming flowers characterize this area, offering visitors a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a popular spot for picnics and leisurely walks, with well-manicured lawns and a background of rolling hills that create a picture-perfect setting for relaxation. Greenery at its best
The green pastures and small blue waterbodies amidst them was the best view I got at Syntu Ksiar. The driver of my cab also showed me a variety of touch-me-not plants and mushrooms.

Good for picnic only
I went to this place alone. Although it was beautiful, there were very few sole travellers like me and I felt rather awkward amidst the numerous families who had assembled there for picnics.

Green Fields and water body
This was the last spot of our Jowai day trip. After completing Pitcher plant lake we straight headed to see this. But the journey was long. It has a memorial of freedom struggle led by Kiang Nangbah...

Nice picnic Spot on Myndtu river
Syntu Ksiar is a beautiful picnic spot at Myntdu river in the lower Jowai part of West Jaintia district. It is usually less crowded and worth visiting absolutely.

Small picnic spot
Its beautiful spot next to the Myndtu river. One can pack food and spend a day there, many locals come for angling there. Also one can see a monument nearby this place called U Kiang Nongbah.
