Nurpur Fort, an architectural marvel, is situated in the picturesque town of Nurpur in Pathankot district of Punjab, India. The fort has a rich history dating back to the 11th century and was originally known as Dhameri. It was later renamed in honor of Nur Jehan, the wife of Mughal Emperor Jehangir. The fort, perched on a rocky ridge, showcases a blend of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles. Despite being in ruins, Nurpur Fort still stands tall exhibiting its ornamental gates, walls adorned with carvings, and remains of the royal palace.
