Shahpurkandi Fort is situated in the picturesque location near the River Ravi, at Shahpurkandi township of Pathankot district in Punjab, India. Constructed in 1505 by a Rajput chieftain named Suraj Mal in the time of Emperor Akbar, this ancient fort resonates with historical significance and architectural splendor. Over the centuries, it has been witness to various power struggles and has exchanged hands between Rajput rulers and later the Sikhs under Maharaja Ranjit Singh's reign. Perched atop a hill, the fort offers a strategic vantage point which was crucial during battles and also provides stunning views of the river and surrounding landscape. Beautiful views of the Pir Panjals in addition to the history of the place.
Historical place. Breath taking view u can see here. Now fort converteo into temple. Radha krishan mandir, lord Ganesha, Shani Mandir, maa durga and sai baba hanuman ji lord laxmi narayan statues here..
