Okhla Bird Sanctuary is a notable haven situated at the Okhla barrage over Yamuna River. It is situated in Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, near the Delhi-Noida border. Spread over approximately 4 square kilometers, this sanctuary is a haven for over 300 bird species, especially during the winter season when migratory birds flock to this picturesque location. The sanctuary was established with the aim of protecting the rich avifauna of the region. The varied habitat, consisting of wetlands, grasslands, and trees provides a perfect nesting ground for birds such as Kingfishers, Cormorants, Warblers, and more. It is a significant stopover for birds on the East Asian Flyway. The calm and serene environment not only attracts birds but is also a favorite spot for nature lovers and wildlife photographers.

Do not go in the hot weather
This place with very meager facilities was full of migrant birds and good for a morning walk or a bicycle trip, but my friends said that in a hot weather it may be a nightmare.

Wastage of Money and Time
