Noida, short for the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, is a planned city located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It falls under the National Capital Region (NCR) of India, adjacent to the national capital New Delhi, and is part of the Gautam Budh Nagar district. Noida is known for its modern infrastructure, high-rise buildings, and well-developed residential and commercial areas. The city is a prominent hub for information technology and software services with many multinational companies having their offices here. Noida also boasts of numerous educational institutes, shopping malls, entertainment venues, and parks. One of its major attractions is the Noida Film City, a hub for major news channels and studios. Sector 18 is known as the commercial nerve-centre, lined with high-end stores and eateries. The city has been designed with vast green spaces to allow for a clean and healthy environment for its residents. Despite its rapid urbanization, traffic management and public transportation are challenges that the city is actively working to improve.
