Traveling to Patong Beach is convenient and can be done in several ways depending on where you are coming from:
Phuket International Airport (HKT) is the primary gateway for international travelers. Upon arrival at the airport, you can use the following means to reach Patong Beach:
From Bangkok, you can take a bus to Phuket Town. Buses depart from the Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai) and can take anywhere from 12 to 16 hours. Once in Phuket Town, you can transfer to a local bus or taxi to Patong Beach.
If you are driving from mainland Thailand, you will cross the Sarasin Bridge to enter Phuket island. Patong is about an hour drive from the bridge. Follow Route 402 to Route 4029 directly to Patong Beach.
If you're coming from the islands like Krabi or the Phi Phi Islands, you can take a ferry to Phuket. Most ferries arrive at Rassada Pier in Phuket Town, from where you can take a taxi or bus to Patong Beach.
