How to reach Phi Phi Islands, Thailand

Phi Phi Islands are an island group in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the Straits of Malacca coast of Thailand. Given its island nature, direct road or train access is not possible. Visitors typically have to take a ferry or speedboat from either Phuket or Krabi.

  • Nearest Ports: Rassada Pier in Phuket and Klong Jirad Pier in Krabi for ferry services.

By Flight:

To reach the Phi Phi Islands by flight, you must fly to either Phuket or Krabi. From there, take a taxi to the respective piers, and board a ferry to the islands.

By Road (to the pier):

If you are traveling by road from anywhere in Thailand, you will need to reach the Rassada Pier in Phuket or Klong Jirad Pier in Krabi. From here, you will take a ferry to the Phi Phi Islands.

By Train:

There is no direct train service to Phi Phi Islands. The closest train stations are in Surat Thani or Trang, after which you can take a bus to Krabi or Phuket and proceed by ferry to the islands.
