Pissu Top is a renowned hilltop that lies en route to the Amarnath Cave, situated in the Anantnag district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Pissu Top holds historical significance as well and is encapsulated by mythological tales; it is said that the name originates from a local legend which narrates that there was a war between Gods and demons atop this hill, and the pile of dead demons metamorphosed into the towering hill, hence named 'Pissu Top.' The location is a common rest point for pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra, an annual pilgrimage dedicated to Lord Shiva.
