Rang Mahal, located in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, India, is an epitome of architectural grandiosity and cultural heritage. Built in the 18th century by Raja Umed Singh, this palace exhibits a unique blend of Mughal and British colonial architectural styles. The palace's intricately painted walls and the fine examples of Punjab hill style wall paintings depict various aspects of Lord Krishna's life, making it a significant artistic attraction. The palace has been converted into a Handicrafts Emporium, promoting and preserving traditional handiwork. Local artisans create and exhibit their crafts such as handwoven textiles, shawls, and other handicrafts which are also available for purchase. Once a royal abode, the Rang Mahal still reflects the luxurious lives led by its former residents through its sprawling lawns, grand rooms, and historical significance.
