Best Time To Visit Roing (Arunachal Pradesh) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Roing, Arunachal Pradesh

The ideal time to visit Roing, which is nestled in the lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh, is during the winter months, which range from October to February. During this period, the weather is dry and cool, with temperatures comfortably ranging from 10°C to 28°C. This creates perfect conditions for sightseeing and outdoor activities. Tourists can enjoy the delightful views of the Mishmi Hills without the inconvenience of heavy rainfall which is common in other parts of the year. The season brings clear skies, enabling travelers to appreciate the picturesque beauty of places like Mehao Lake, Sally Lake, and the Mayudia Pass, which often gets carpeted with snow in the peak winter months of December and January.

Considering the monsoon season, which lasts from June to September, is quite harsh in this region with heavy downpours and potential landslides, it is generally advised to avoid planning a trip during this time. The summer season, from March to May, serves as a transitional period and can also be a good time to visit. The climate is pleasant and the natural beauty of Roing is enhanced by the blooming of fresh foliage and flowers. However, those who wish to experience Roing at its most serene state should target the post-monsoon months, when water levels in rivers and lakes are optimum for fishing and angling – activities Roing is famously known for. Therefore, to experience the full charm of Roing's landscapes and cultural festivities, aligning your visit with the winter season would be most beneficial.
