Best Time to Visit Salugara Monastery, Siliguri

The optimal time to visit the Salugara Monastery in Siliguri, West Bengal, is during the winter months, which span from October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasantly cool with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C, creating ideal conditions for tourists to explore the serene environment of the monastery and its surroundings. The winter season also coincides with several monastic festivals when the monastery grounds come alive with cultural events and prayer ceremonies that can offer visitors a glimpse into the spiritual practices and traditions of the monks who reside there.

Additionally, the beginning of spring around late February to March offers a beautiful setting with lush greenery and comfortable climate. This season is particularly enticing for photographers and peace-seekers to enjoy the monastery gardens in full bloom. Travelers are advised to avoid the summer months from April to June, when the heat can be intense, and the monsoon season from July to September, where heavy rainfall can disrupt travel plans and make the exploration of the monastery less enjoyable.
