Senado Square, also known as Largo do Senado, is a public square in Macau. It is located in the central area of the peninsula and is a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Historic Centre of Macau.
Reaching Senado Square by Air
If you’re coming from outside Macau, the closest airport is the Macau International Airport (MFM). Upon arrival, you can choose from several options to reach Senado Square:
- Taxi: The most convenient way to get to Senado Square from the airport is by taxi. It is approximately a 15-minute ride depending on traffic conditions.
- Public Bus: There are several public buses that you can take from the airport to Senado Square, including bus numbers 3, 10, 10A, and 32. The journey might take around 30 minutes.

Reaching Senado Square by Ferry
If you are coming from Hong Kong, you can take a ferry to Macau Ferry Terminal and then proceed by:
- Free Casino Shuttle: Many casinos offer free shuttle services to the city center. You can take one of these shuttles and then walk to Senado Square.
- Public Bus: From the ferry terminal, take bus 3, 3A, 10, 10A, or 10B to get to Senado Square.
- Taxi: Taxis are readily available at the ferry terminal and can take you directly to Senado Square.
Reaching Senado Square by Land
If you are already in Macau, Senado Square is accessible by foot from many nearby hotels and landmarks. Follow directional signs throughout the city, as the square is a major attraction.
- Walking: Many visitors choose to walk to Senado Square as part of exploring the city's historic streets.
- Public Bus: If you are staying far from the center, you can use public buses. Check the latest bus routes and stops as they are subject to change.
- Taxi or Ride-Hailing Apps: You can also use a taxi or ride-hailing apps for a direct and comfortable ride to the square.
