The Seven Sisters Falls, also known as Nohsngithiang Falls, is a spectacular cascade of water plunging from the limestone cliffs of the Khasi Hills in Meghalaya, India. It is named after the seven segments that reflect the sunlight with an ethereal glow, resembling seven sisters. During the rainy season, the falls roar down in full force, offering a breathtaking view against the backdrop of the verdant forest. The area is enveloped in mists and low-floating clouds, mingling with the lush greenery to create a mesmerizing scene. One can witness the falls from a viewing platform which provides a panoramic view of the breathtaking landscape. Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra, is famed for its heavy rainfall and is often credited as one of the wettest places on Earth, which feeds the falls and keeps them alive and majestic. The culture and traditions of the local Khasi people add to the charm of visiting this picturesque spot.

Superb view from afar
Watch out for the Rainbow forming in the falls if it is raining at that time. We were privileged to witness it.
