Best Time to Visit the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, Lachung, Sikkim

The Seven Sisters Waterfalls in Lachung, Sikkim is a breathtaking cascade of water that offers a spectacular display throughout the year. However, the best time to visit this natural wonder is during the monsoon season, which typically spans from June to September. During this period, the waterfalls are in their full glory due to the abundant rainfall received in the region. The heightened water flow during these months provides a mesmerizing and robust view of the waterfalls cascading down the rugged cliffs. The lush green surroundings further enhance the scenic beauty, making it a photographer’s paradise.

While monsoon brings out the best in the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, the post-monsoon months of October and November are also excellent for visiting. During this time, the rainfall is not as heavy, and the weather conditions are generally clear, allowing for uninterrupted views of the waterfalls and comfortable travel in the region. The water level remains high enough to enjoy the natural splendor of the falls, and the surrounding flora is still rich and vibrant from the rains. Visitors should note that the winter months can see a significant drop in temperature, and the water flow may reduce considerably, which might not be the ideal time for those looking to see the falls at their most vigorous.
