Fly to Nyaung-U Airport (NYU) which is the closest airport to Bagan. Airlines such as Myanmar Airways, Air KBZ, and Golden Myanmar Airlines operate regular flights from Yangon and other major cities in Myanmar to Nyaung-U. From there, you can take a taxi or arrange for a pickup from your hotel in Bagan to get to Shwesandaw Pagoda.
Bagan is well-connected by bus from major cities like Yangon, Mandalay, and Inle Lake. Upon arrival at the bus station in Bagan, you can hire a taxi, a tuk-tuk, or rent an e-bike to reach Shwesandaw Pagoda.
