Best Time To Visit Taif (Saudi Arabia) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Taif, Saudi Arabia

Taif, often referred to as the "City of Roses," is known for its pleasant climate, stunning landscapes, and fragrant rose gardens. The best time to visit Taif is during the months of April to September. In this period, especially between April and May, the city witnesses the Rose Festival, where the roses are in full bloom and the air is filled with their sweet fragrance. This is also the time when the weather is most favorable, with temperatures ranging comfortably between 17 to 30 degrees Celsius. Visitors during these months enjoy outdoor activities such as strolling through rose farms, exploring the local markets, or venturing on hiking trails in the nearby Al-Shafa mountains.

For those looking to escape the scorching heat of other Saudi regions, the summer months of June to September provide a cool refuge, with Taif being significantly cooler than the lowland areas. During this time, the city becomes a summer retreat for both locals and tourists, offering a respite with its alpine-like climate. It is important to note that while the daytime temperatures are pleasant, it can get quite chilly in the evening, so carrying a light jacket is advisable. The city also hosts the Taif Season festival in the summer, which showcases cultural events, concerts, and exhibitions, making it an exciting time to experience the local culture and entertainment.
